A wonderful hotel, the lobby is very open and inviting and the staff were wonderful and worked around the clock. There is a breakfast buffet that runs daily and is very reasonably priced (about $18AUD a person) and it has a mix of Western and Japanese food. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and the cleaners come daily to refit your room. If you don’t want your room cleaned every day they come every 3 days regardless for sanitation purposes - on the days you opt not to clean they leave the towels on your door. There are soaps, bath salts, coffee, tea, combs etc all in the lobby to take as you need along with drink vending machines, smoking area in the Lobby, ice stations on varying floors and a microwave on L12. I chose a smoking room and you are able to open a window to air out the room if need be. The hotel is right in front of Sakae Station and a large entertainment district, perfect to access attractions and eat and drink, and the bus station is very close by. There is also a Family Mart right downstairs, it’s really such a convenient location. I would definitely stay here again, loved my stay with this place. Very classic hotel, felt like I was transported to a classier time.

Staff give a very good, professional first impression. They are responsive and helpful, and they were exceedingly courteous in answering our questions despite our inability to speak Japanese. The room was tidy and well appointed with everything we needed. The en-suite bathroom facilities were top notch. The location and value for money could not be beat—we were very pleased we could book last minute here during cherry blossom season without exceeding our tight budget! This location is close to a train, good shops and restaurants, and a lovely city park. Tip to other guests: be sure to specify a non-smoking room if that is your preference! We made an error in booking (our fault, not the hotel’s), and ended up with a smoking room which management were not able to change due to full bookings. Even in the smoking room, we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend this hotel to others looking for convenience, value, and professionalism. We would come back to this hotel in the future if we find ourselves in Nagoya again.

We stayed at Koko for one night as we were visiting Ghibli Park the next day. Booked 2 rooms ( small double bed) as it was for 2 adults and 2 kids. Rooms were expected - Id say the bedroom area was 3x3m, it compact but it was all we needed. Bed was confortable for 1 adult an 1 child under 10. And for the price it was worth it. It was a little outdated but we didnt mind. The room and bathroom was clean and we found the rooms than the APA room we stayed in Yokohama. We didnt have breakfast but rather explored the area for food. Many convenience stores and restaurants to buy foods. We loved the complimentary bath salts, they smelt amazing! Location wise, it was right next to the tower, high end shops as well as what seemed like the young "fun" district...

The location is excellent, very close to shopping areas, restaurants, and convenience stores. The surrounding area is also quiet, which made for a peaceful stay. However, there were a few downsides. The toilet seat was broken, and only one pillow was provided, which wasn’t very comfortable. We also lost one key card and were charged ¥1000, which seemed unreasonable. Most hotels reuse key cards, and the cost to replace them is usually minimal, so the charge felt excessive.

Great location in the heart of the city. Close to restaurants, shopping, subways and convenience stores, and also within walking distance of Nagoya Castle. Beds were comfortable and staff were happy to provide an extra pillow when we requested one. We were travelling in a group with 3 rooms and they accommodated us all on the same level which we were grateful for. We would definitely stay here again.
